Dr Rocco Joubert N.D. M.Ph.D.
Dr Rocco Joubert and has been practising as a Naturopath and Iridologist since 1988 and was named after St Rocco the healer, and he knew from a young age that he was called to heal. Starting his apprenticeship at an early age, he learnt the healing art and science from his grandmother Ouma Sarie. Ouma Sarie worried that none of her children wanted to learn from her but was delighted when her grandson showed keen interest and aptitude for the healing art. Young Rocco quickly understood the secrets that she passed down from generations before. Helping her make tinctures, creams, ointments and pillules (handmade pills, made with powdered herbs and honey) during weekends and school holidays.
He formalised his training as Naturopath and Iridologist by qualifying as such from the International Holistic Health Institute in Brisbane Australia. Augmenting his herbal knowledge, he studied traditional African medicine with Dr Tsungu, one of the founders of THO (Traditional Healers Organisation). Dr Rocco became one of only a hand few of initiated traditional healers under Dr Tsugu’s tutelage. Dr Rocco also holds a PhD in psychology and pastoral counselling. He lectured part-time at RAU where he presented a PhD masters program with Dr Dawid Smith.
Dr Rocco developed the DRRP over the span of his career and is the culmination of his years of study and practice.
Dr Rocco also studied massage therapy, reflexology, aromatherapy, beauty therapy, quantum healing therapy and theology.
